You are invited to an upcoming Cultural burn and African Olive control event, planned under the Private Land Conservation Matters initiative, in Cobbitty Hills on Saturday October 12th.

This event has been made to be especially suitable for Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) landholders who may have a Wildlife Refuge, Conservation Agreement or Biodiversity Stewardship Agreement. It is also favourable to those landholders curious about the BCT and the protection it can provide to private land.

10am – Morning:

The morning will concentrate on a walk and talk with First Nations people, to talk about the site following a cultural burn done in July. What changes are obvious because of the burn and, what could they mean? What does the site need next in its journey of regeneration?

Noonish:

A networking lunch will be on offer – delicious and Free!

1pm – Afternoon:

The afternoon session is a workshop on some new tools available for African Olive control, where training and practice will familiarise you with them – particularly the Injecta400, or an ‘Olive Gun’…

Come to the morning or afternoon event – or stay all day…
