Event Description
The next event in our Private Land Conservation Matters is being held on a beautiful conservation property in Monkerai, where owners, Martin and Heather, have been diligently restoring and protecting the high conservation value vegetation since 1979. Bordering the Black Bulga Nature Reserve, Martin and Heather's 88Ha property boasts over 300 plant species (including rare and threatened flora such as Craven's Box and Scrub Turpentine), many rare and endangered animals (including koalas, owls and gliders), and forms an important link in a significant regional corridor.
Our hosts will take us on a meander through Gorge Dry Rainforest, regenerating ecotones and for the more adventurous, up gullies and ravines to explore the floristic diversity present on their property and past the regeneration works they have completed to date. We will be joined by local rainforest experts, Peter and Kim Gollan and invite you to join in a sharing of knowledge at this event.
