We will meet at the Garra Fire Shed before proceeding to the TSR. 

Join us for a walk through the Garra TSR, identifying native grasses, prority weeds and areas of local cultural significance

  • Sue Wakefield (Landcare) and Phil Cranny (CTLLS) will help you identify native grasses-the good & the bad.
  • Greg Ingram, (Orange LALC) will point out areas of historic and contempoarary cultural significance.
  •  
  • Learn how the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust can help you protect biodiversity on your property.

 

NB There will be a shoe wash as we leave the TSR as part of biosecurity measures due to the presence of Chilean Needle Grass on the site

 

We will be walking on uneven terrain so be sure to wear sturdy enclosed shoes and dress for the weather. Children under 15 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Partnering with the NSW Biodiversity conservation Trust

Fifteen participants explored local plant species at our Native Grass ID Workshop, led by Sue Wakefield from Central Tablelands Landcare and Phil Cranny and Greg Ingram from Local Land Services. Attendees learned to identify various weeds and pasture species. They also discovered how the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust can support biodiversity efforts on private land.
