As a farmer or land manager, you manage natural capital. The natural assets on your farm, such as plants, animals, soils and water, and the services they provide, is known as natural capital. Enhancing natural capital on your farm can create value for your farming business or property management, as well as improving the environment and supporting the broader economy. It can help you improve productivity, build resilience, expand or safeguard market access, and save on input and finance costs. Enhancing natural capital may also enable you to take part in environmental markets and earn a financial return.

We will meet at the woolshed before touring the Natural Capital Assets of Warrendale.
Toilets will be available at the Warrendale Woolshed.
Please wear snake-safe boots and appropriate hot-weather field clothes & hat.

Carbon farming is the implementation of practices that avoid or reduce greenhouse gas emissions or sequester (store) carbon in the landscape, for example, in vegetation and soils. Farmers can change practices to reduce their emissions. These changes may be positive for the business and the environment.
