MidCoast Council and Birdlife Australia are partnering to trial a Birds on Farms project in the Karuah River Catchment

The program aims to match landholders with birdwatchers and scientists to help you learn more about bird distribution, population health, and habitat use on your farm to aid bird conservation efforts.

As part of this program you've invited to a field day at116 Booral-Washpool Road to get some expert advice on creating and enhancing bird habitats - particularly around wetlands and waterways. We'll have experts with us to discuss what to plant where, as well as advice on managing river banks and edges to benefit both the birds and your farm.

What to bring: Binoculars (we’ll have some on hand if you don’t have any), closed in shoes, hat and a camp chair.

Morning tea and lunch provided.

Further information coming soon!
